Fortnite has endless collaborations and just when you think they couldn't possibly surprise you, they work with another gaming title! Epic Games has already collaborated with Marvel, Star Wars, Naruto, Ariana Grande, and many more. Even other game publishers have had their piece of Epic pie, bringing the likes of Vi and Jinx from League of Legends, Kratos from God of War, Chris and Jill from Resident Evil, the list goes on and on!

Another unofficial piece of information has been circulating the internet: Destiny skins might be coming to Fortnite.

What Is The MMO Destiny All About?

Destiny is a first-person shooter for consoles developed by Bungie. The science-fantasy story is set in the post-apocalyptic future about 1000 years after our time.

At the beginning of the story, the so-called Traveler, a giant living spherical machine, reached the solar system. In the process, an evil alien force, called Darkness, and its brood, the Shard, followed the Traveler. With it followed several other alien races. After the arrival of the Traveler to Earth, the Golden Age began. People lived longer, breakthrough technologies were developed.

However, the hostile aliens completely wiped out these colonies and destroyed any human life there. After a great battle on Earth, humanity was able to settle in the last city on earth with only a fraction of its former progress. However, the Traveler was injured and with his last strength, before he fell asleep, created the spirits from light.

They seek out those dead, who are apparently particularly powerful and possess the light, to reanimate them and bring them as guardians to the tower, a kind of command center in the city. The guardians set out to recover powerful artifacts scattered throughout the solar system, whose abilities will help humanity in the war. And since there's a war coming to Fortnite soon, some Destiny characters might come to Fortnite to protect the island.

Will There Be A Destiny x Fortnite Crossover?

In a brand new poll sent out to all Fortnite players, the developers ask the following question:

"Among the following video game characters, please select the ones you've seen or heard of before."

In the list of suggestions is Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, The Legend of Zelda, and Destiny. The question is clearly aimed at finding out which of the characters in the list would attract the most eyes, should they ever be added to Fortnite. In fact, Destiny was the only game to feature the following characters four times:

  • Drifter
  • Titan
  • Hive
  • Failsafe
It seems like Epic has an eye on Bungie's shooter. Of course, that doesn't mean a Fortnite x Destiny crossover has been officially confirmed or announced. But we should definitely keep this collaboration in mind. Who knows, maybe we'll get some Destiny skins in Fortnite sooner than we think.
