Donald Mustard is turning his back on Fortnite and has announced his retirement from the gaming industry in a tweet on his official Twitter account.
Mustard was not only the founder of ChAIR Entertainment Group, LLC, an American video game company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but also the Chief Creative Officer of Epic Games and the creator of Fortnite until 2023.
All the sadder to now have to say goodbye to him from our favorite Battle Royale game....
Fortnite Boss Donald Mustard Announces Retirement
Mustard first came to prominence at Shadow Complex and Infinity Blade developer ChAIR Entertainment, a studio he co-founded in 2005. ChAIR was subsequently acquired by Epic Games in 2008, and Donald eventually became the company's chief creative officer in 2016, where he took a major role in the rise of Fortnite.
The then-new Battle Royale game was quickly marked by success and became one of the biggest video games in video game history. In 2020, it even surpassed the 350 million registered players mark!
Now, however, Mustard has announced his decision to leave the company in a statement on social media:

In his farewell tweet, he stresses that the Fortnite teams are "in the best hands" and still working on "huge, mind-blowing, amazing things" to come.Mustard has not publicly announced what his next job or career move is, but we wish him all the best in the future!
