DreamHack starts today, but this time the tournament will be the duo format. In three regions you can fight in pairs for a part of the $250,000 prize pool. Sign up now!
DreamHack has become a regular tournament format for Fortnite's competing scene and has a $250,000 prize pool. The events will take place in North America (East and West) and Europe.
In November, however, DreamHack took an unexpected turn for the first time as Duos will be played. So far, only solos have been played in every DreamHack. You can read everything else about the format, points, and prize money below.

Duos Format
The format is largely unchanged. Fans throughout Europe and North America can participate. The competitions are online only and not by invitation. Players from all platforms may participate.
The best 50 players will play out six matches to see what duo wins the 250,000 dollars. Points must be earned in two heats (qualification tournaments) per region. For each heat, 250 duos qualify for the semi-finals. Each duo can play a maximum of 10 matches during the 3-hour heat. The semifinals are played with 500 duos, with 50 duos advancing to the grand final. The final will be played with six consecutive games at fixed times with a new game starts every 40 minutes.
The age limit is 13 years. Before participating, you have to confirm this by filling out an application form.
Similar to previous DreamHack events, all regions will compete on separate days.
