Fortnite FNCS Season 6: Schedule, Prizes and More

The FNCS 2021 goes into the next round with Season 6! Which prize pool will be fought for this time? In which format will the FNCS be played? We have all the details for you! The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) will once again be held in a trio format in Season 6. And now, more details about FNCS Chapter 2, Season 6 have been revealed. We'll tell you all about the possible prizes, the format, the points distribution and more.

FNCS Format

The FNCS format should be familiar to players. The scoring will continue to balance eliminations and general placement. Teams that were able to finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their respective regions in last season's FNCS (Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5) are automatically qualified for the Chapter 2, Season 6 Finals and will not be able to compete in the Qualifiers or Semifinals.

The most important highlights:

  • The top 3 trios from each qualifier will skip the semifinals and advance directly to the finals. All other teams must earn Series points to advance to the semifinals.
  • There will be three rounds of semifinals per region and the rounds will all be played on the same day.
  • The restart round will be expanded to a minimum of three and a maximum of six matches.

Schedule FNCS

The first FNCS will start at the beginning of the end of April with the first qualifying round and will end at the end of May with the finals. The exact schedule is as follows:

  • Qualifier 1: Middle East – April 22-24. All other regions – April 23-25
  • Qualifier 2: Middle East – April 29-May 1. All other regions – April 30-May 2
  • Qualifier 3: Middle East – May 6-8. All other regions – May 7-9
  • Bye Week: May 13-16
  • Semi-Finals: Middle East – May 21. All other regions – May 22
  • Reboot Round: Middle East – May 22. All other regions – May 23
  • Finals: Middle East May 28-29. All other regions – May 29-30

Scoring

The scoring system is as follows:

  • Victory Royale: 30
  • 2nd: 26
  • 3rd: 24
  • 4th: 22
  • 5th: 21
  • 6th: 20
  • 7th: 19
  • 8th: 18
  • 9th: 17
  • 10th: 16
  • 11th: 14
  • 12th: 13
  • 13th: 12
  • 14th: 11
  • 15th: 10
  • 16th: 9
  • 17th: 8
  • 18th-24th: 5
  • Each Elimination: 2 Points

FNCS Prize money

Let's get to the exciting part of the FNCS. It has a prize pool of $20,000,000 for the entire year of 2021. (for comparison: in 2020 it was $17,000,000).

Once again, $3 million in prize money is at stake this season. Players will compete in a single, cross-platform group per region. Here is the complete breakdown:

Mid- and end-of-year competitions will also be held, pitting the top FNCS players from each region against each other in multiple competition formats for an additional $8,000,000 in prize money.
