Guys, you won't believe it! Fortnite has announced another PlayStation Cup exclusively for PlayStation players (Editor: yeah... the name kinda gave that away). Start practicing on your console or ask friends and family to lend you a PlayStation, because you could win a share of the $226,800 in prize money!

When Will The Fortnite PlayStation Cup Take Place?

The first Fortnite PlayStation Cup will take place this Saturday, October 2. The second PlayStation Cup will follow on November 11. The prize money is split equally between the two cups, so there will be a prize pool of $113,400 in both October and November. Check out the "Competition" tab in the game to find out when the Fortnite PlayStation Cup starts in your region.

How Can I Participate In The Fortnite PlayStation Cup?

Only eligible players on PS4 or PS5 consoles can participate in the Fortnite PlayStation Cup. The tournament is held in a solo format over two rounds. Simply select the PlayStation Cup in Fortnite to start the Cup and join the first round.Round 1 is an open competition where you will have 3 hours to play a maximum of 10 games and earn as many points as possible. Only the top 100 players from each region will advance to Round 2.Round 2 consists of 6 matches in total. The best players from Round 2 of each region will receive a prize.

What Is The Point Distribution For The Fortnite PlayStation Cup?

As usual, you get one point for each kill. However, the most points are again awarded for the placement:

  • Victory Royale: 30 points
  • 2nd: 25 points
  • 3rd: 22 points
  • 4th: 20 points
  • 5th: 19 points
  • 6th: 17 points
  • 7th: 16 points
  • 8th: 15 points
  • 9th: 14 points
  • 10th: 13 points
  • 11th - 15th: 11 points
  • 16th - 20th: 9 points
  • 21st - 25th: 7 points
  • 26th - 30th: 5 points
  • 36th - 40th: 3 points
  • 31st - 35th: 4 points
  • 41st - 50th: 2 points
  • 51st - 75th: 1 point

The point distribution is arranged in such a way that there is a balance of points for achieving eliminations and placements in Round 1. Since there is only one lobby of players in Round 2, eliminations are rewarded with 2 points instead of 1.

This is the prize distribution for the PlayStation Cup in the regions Europe, North America (East), North America (West) and Brazil:

  • 1.: $1,200
  • 2.: $1,100
  • 3.: $1,000
  • 4.: $800
  • 5.: $725
  • 6.: $600
  • 7.: $550
  • 8.: $500
  • 9.: $450
  • 10. – 25.: $400
  • 26. – 50.: $300
  • 51. – 64.: $200

This is the prize distribution for the PlayStation Cup in the Oceania, Middle East and Asia regions:

  • 1st $650
  • 2nd $600
  • 3rd $550
  • 4th $500
  • 5th $450
  • 6th $400
  • 7th $350
