A new event starts today in Fortnite, and Epic Games have prepared some cool surprises! The interesting thing about this event, though, is that you have to participate with a friend who hasn’t played Fortnite in over a month...
During the recent The Game Awards stream on Twitch, Fortnite players received a free drop. Those who were watching The Game Awards stream when the drop was activated, received the free Nebulaic Wrap in Fortnite.

The ‘Reboot a Friend’ Event!
In recent emails sent out by Epic Games, ‘Reboot a Friend’ was explained in detail. Players need to invite their friends into the game via the ‘Reboot a Friend’ website. Once they have invited their friends, and have played with them, they will unlock rewards for everybody on the team! The more playing together, the more rewards that are unlocked. These include the Double Claws pickaxe, and the Hologlanz paint job.
From today, December 14, until January 4, you have time to secure your rewards. You can participate and monitor your progress through the Reboot a Friend Fortnite web page.
The program is a great way to get old players back into the game. Fortnite is a game that doesn’t really follow a pay-to-win model, as items are purely cosmetic. So, giving away some sweet cosmetics simply incentivizes players to return to the game!
Not only that, but Fortnite has been rallying fan bases again lately with the new Halo and The Walking Dead skins making it into the game! Nexus War may be over, but the aftermath is not...
