Fortnite crossovers are going through the roof. More and more new characters from movies and TV, other video games, comics, real-life icons and more, are popping up in the game. And in our weekly series 'Fortnite Skins Backgrounds', we introduce you to one of these Fortnite characters. Today it's Gamora's turn.
The Gamora outfit is an epic skin from the Marvel series and part of the Guardians of the Galaxy set. Gamora was first added on August 10, 2021 in Chapter 2, Season 7 with Patch 17.30 Fortnite and was described as:
The kidnappings continue and all efforts to stop the invasion have been in vain so far. Now we need the help of the most deadly woman in the galaxy .... Gamora! As the last surviving Zen-Whoberian, Gamora knows how devastating it can be when a planet is conquered. The former Guardians of the Galaxy member joins the fight to protect Fortnite Island from the invaders.
But who is Gamora, and what is her story?
Who is Gamora?
Gamora is a former member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. She became one of Thanos' foster children when he killed half of her race. It's a pretty dark origin story if you ask me. He raised her to be an extremely capable fighter and assassin. However, she stands up to Thanos throughout the story and becomes a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy when she realizes that her father will wipe out Xandar, and she cannot reconcile this with her conscience. She is later sacrificed by Thanos to activate the Soul Stone.As a Zen Whoberian, Gamora is stronger and faster than humans and many other species, allowing her to overpower most enemies in battle. Gamora's bionic enhancements and her species' advanced physiology also allow her to withstand terrible physical damage and regenerate injuries quickly.

Gamora's outfit first appeared in the item shop on August 15 at 02:00 CEST. In addition, you could get the skin for free if you were one of the best players in your region in the Fortnite Gamora Cup. These are all Gamora cosmetics:
