Master Chief is a Gaming Legends Series outfit in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The skin made its Fortnite debut on December 11, 2020 in Chapter 2, Season 5. The last time the skin was seen was on March 19, 2021. But who is Master Chief, anyway? We have all the details for you.
Fortnite Skins Background: Who Is Master Chief?
Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, or "Master Chief", is a fictional character and the protagonist in the Halo multimedia franchise. He is a playable character in the series of military science fiction first-person shooter video games Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite. The character also appears in Halo books and graphic novels - including Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, Halo: First Strike, and Halo: Uprising, and has made minor appearances or cameos in other Halo media.
The Master Chief is a superior super-soldier, also known as "Spartan", who was raised and trained for combat from childhood. He is almost faceless and rarely seen without his green-colored armor and helmet. He is usually addressed by his naval rank and not by his birth name. The character is voiced by Steve Downes, a former disc jockey from Chicago, in the video games in which he appears.The Master Chief also serves as a mascot for Halo and the Xbox brand.
