There's no end to the crossovers in Fortnite! More and more new characters from movies, TV, other video games, comics, real-life icons and more are popping up in the game. And in our new weekly series 'Fortnite Skins Background', we want to introduce you to one of these Fortnite characters at a time. Today it's the turn of Psycho Bandit.
Psycho Bandit is an outfit of the Gaming Legends series in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The skin made its Fortnite debut on August 27, 2019, in Chapter 1, Season 10. The last time the skin was seen was on May 31, 2020. So it hasn't been available for purchase in the item store for over a year, making the skin a rare Fortnite outfit. But who is Psycho Bandit? Psycho Bandit is a character from the game Borderlands. Borderlands is a 2009 open-world action role-playing first-person shooter video game. The game's story focuses on a group of four "vault hunters" who travel to the distant planet Pandora to search for the "Vault", rumored to contain advanced alien technology and other priceless riches.

The Psychos are bandit enemies that you'll encounter pretty much everywhere throughout all Borderlands games. They wear a white mask and orange pants and are instantly recognizable by their murderous screams, their psychotic laughter, and their constant desire to get into close combat.
There's one Psycho Bandit that stands out in the game's story though – Steve. There are numerous hints that the Psycho Bandit skin in Fortnite is Steve and not just any regular bandit:
- The description features Steve's catchphrase "Heyo!"
- Claptrap is Steve's best friend, and he's also part of the set
Psycho Bandit in Fortnite
In the fifth week of Season X, a rift near Truck 'N' Oasis brought a piece of the planet Pandora to the island's desert. This also brought a Psycho, along with Claptrap, to the island and was available for 2,000 V-Bucks along with the Psycho Pack in the item shop.
Moreover, until December 31, 2020, you could get the Psycho Pack along with the outfit for free when you purchase Borderlands 3 from the Epic Store. These are all the Psycho Bandit cosmetics:
