Fortnite is without a doubt one of the multiplayer titles with the most frequent updates. Yesterday, Epic Games introduced an unexpected patch featuring some weapon balance changes.

Epic Games surprised Fortnite players with an unexpected balance patch yesterday. It tweaked some of the most popular weapons in the game. Were the changes really necessary, though? Only time will tell.

What are the balance changes?

Perhaps the most notable change in the balance update is the one regarding makeshift weapons. These weapons are usually frowned upon by the community and now Epic just made more parts available as ground loot. I guess they really want people to use and upgrade them. Next up are the bow and arrow changes. Considering bows are a huge part of Chapter 2 Season 6, it comes as no surprise that they got buffed.

In fact, bows have all but replaced snipers in the current season of Fortnite. The rest of the changes all make sense, as most of the listed weapons were in need of a buff. Let's hope Epic is following the weapon meta closely. It's too early to tell if all the balance changes are a step in the right direction, as only time will tell.

Server Stability update

In addition to the weapon balance changes, Epic also released a server stability update.

Despite that, some players are still experiencing issues. Have you had any problems while playing recently? Tell us on Facebook or Twitter!
