Epic has brought the fearsome Exotic Burst Pulse Rifle to Fortnite. But where can you find the new weapon and how good is it?
The latest Fortnite Update 17.40 has added an exotic version of the Burst Pulse Rifle. It's always a goal in each lobby to get an exotic version of a weapon, as it deals the highest damage available and usually means you can outgun your target in most firefights. The Burst Pulse Rifle can also delete targets if you know how to use it, since it fires things in burst volleys. It's a two-shot volley when aimed, so if you manage to hit the target with both volleys, you'll almost kill the enemy. The extended magazine size allows for it to shine late in a lobby and really lets you spray and pay.
Aliens invaded Fortnite in Season 7 and their weapons have been one of the main features this season. We've already covered where to get the Rail Gun & Kymera Gun, Slone's Pulse Rifle, and the Recon Scanner.
The only downside of getting the Burst Pulse Rifle is the high gold bar cost, but at this point in the season, you may have a lot of gold bars saved up and ready to burn.
How To Get The Burst Pulse Rifle in Fortnite?
To get this powerful weapon, you first have to find Kymera, who will sell you the Burst Pulse Rifle. The alien appears around Coral Castle, as he has recently moved in after the POI's destruction. You can find him in one of these three locations:
- In the northeastern corner of Coral Castle on the island over the cliff
- In the southern area, on a small sand island in the water
- On a small beach in the southeastern corner
To make your search for Kymera easier, you can look for a speech bubble on the mini-map. This will show players exactly where Kymera is, as long as they are close enough to him.
Once you find Kymera, you'll need to talk to him to buy the Exotic Burst Pulse Rifle for 500 gold bars. Make sure you have enough gold with you, then nothing should stand in your way of finding the monster alien weapon.
