Fortnitemare has kept us pretty spooked, and the wrath of the Cube Queen is reigning down on the island of Fortnite. So to take a break from all this action, Epic has given us a Halloween film festival on-demand via creative mode!
Epic Games has released a series of short Halloween-themed films to celebrate Fortnitemares 2021, and they have called the series Shortnitemares! Let's check out how to watch them and for your attendance, you also get some free rewards which we will also take a look at.
The film festival by the folks over on the Fortnite team kicks off on October 26 at 6 PM ET and the horror-themed festival runs for five full days ending on November 1 at 6 PM ET. At the film fest, you will be able to watch 7 different shorts that feature some of the spookiest Fortnite content your eyes have ever laid eyes on.
How to Watch the Shortnitemare Films
To watch the Fortnitemares: Shortnitemare films, you need to actually watch them in-game! Once in-game, head to the creative mode tab and select the "Shortnitemares" in the playlist. It is also very likely there is a menu that pre-loads before you get into the main menu select screen.
Once you click on the Shortnitemares playlist item, it will take you to the creative mode island made by the Quantum Builds team, a group of pretty well know creative mode creators in the Fortnite customs community. When you are on the film fest island, each of the seven movies will have its own viewing room, so you can pick which one you want to watch in. You also have the possibility to go into the main film room to watch all of them in a loop.
The last way you can watch them is with the picture in picture mode, so you can literally play a match and watch Shortnitemares at the same time.

To celebrate the event, Epic has released a new skin in the item shop, theKernel Poppy Outfit, which is available for purchase on October 27 at 8 PM. You can also get the Slurpy Slush‘em Back Bling and Butter Buddy Emote.
