Data miners have done it again: they found some pretty interesting stuff in Fortnite's game files. Could Lara Croft from Square Enix’ Tomb Raider franchise be coming to Fortnite as a playable skin? Let's have a look.

Season 5 of the world's most beloved Battle Royale started in December 2020 and its motto was “headhunters”. Agent Jonesy tried to unite the “greatest hunters from across realities” to protect the Loop.

With characters like the Master Chief and Kratos already in the game, it’s only natural for Epic Games to expand its crossover skin collection to other franchises. A new rumor suggests, Lara Croft might find her way into Fortnite as a playable skin. Maybe she will join Jonesy in his fight against the Predator?

Lara Croft Leaks

According to Twitter user Mang0e, who is famous for his leaks, there are new strings in the games’ code concerning “Typhoon”, a female character with reactive styles.

But that’s not all there is. To fuel the rumors, the official Tomb Raider Twitter posted a picture of a pickaxe, a girl (Lara Croft), and a bow, which strongly suggests her coming to Fortnite in some way, shape or form.

Some artists even went as far as to draw concepts for possible Lara Croft skins. They look pretty damn awesome btw. But see for yourself:

Of course, truth be told, we do not have an official statement confirming Lara Croft will actually come to Fortnite. But the current season is due to end on March 16, 2021, so we won’t have to wait long to see whether those rumors are true.
