Fortnite: Late Game Arena Explained
For the new players among you, Late Game Arena is a competitive Fortnite game mode available in Solos or Trios. For placings or kills, players earn points called hype. As with other competitive game modes in Fortnite, there are ten divisions and three leagues: Open, Contender and Champion. The Fortnite community loves late game arena as it offers a versatile tournament practice method. The map is smaller, players are already spawning with weapons and items, and the zone closes faster, making it difficult to escape from enemies.
Compete to be the last player or team standing while being equipped with a variety of weapons, consumables, and materials at the start of each round. The mode is intense, chaotic and loads of fun.

You can play together with your pre-made trio, or use the auto-fill feature to play with new team members.
Late game arena loot selection
The Late Game arena offers new gameplay thanks to the new loot selection, specially curated for balanced competition and improved performance. You spawn with some of the most popular weapons and items from previous chapters and seasons. This means that the popular pump shotgun will also return in the mode!

You also get 3 Hype Points for each elimination in Solos. In trios you get 8 hype points.
Late Game Cups
There will be solo and trio Late Game Cups throughout the remainder of the season. There will also be Late Game Quick Cups (without prize money) and Late Game Cash Cups (with prize money) in different formats.
The Quick Cups will consist of only one round. You'll have two hours and up to 12 matches to prove your skills and climb to the top of the leaderboard.
The Cash Cups will consist of two rounds. Round 1 will be structured like the Quick Cups: you have 2 hours and can play up to 12 matches. Only the top 100 players in Solo Cups or only the top 33 teams in Trio Cups will advance to Round 2. In Round 2, these players/teams will play for the prize money in ten matches.
