The Fortnite "Mainframe Throwback" pack includes a great selection of cosmetics and even quests that can get you up to 1,000 V-Bucks. Here's everything you need to know!
While most of Fortnite's skins can be bought with V-Bucks, there are a few items or packs that you can only buy with real money. They usually offer different rewards than the normal packs and the "Mainframe Nostalgia" quest pack is one of them.
Of course, there is a unique skin, Retro Zoe Clash, who comes with additional cosmetics to complete your look. But it also offers unique challenges that earn you V-Bucks instead of XP! You can earn up to 1,000 V-Bucks, more than enough to get another skin if you want to.
Fortnite Mainframe Throwback Quest Pack: Price & Cosmetics
The "Mainframe Throwback" quest pack costs $8. The bundle can't be bought with V-Bucks - which means you'll have to reach into your wallet.
Mainframe Throwback contains the following cosmetics:
- Outfit "Retro Zoe Clash" (3 shading options)
- Back Bling "Sgt. Lapin"
- Pickaxe "Bzzt! Blades"
- Mainframe Throwback quests that will allow you to unlock up to 1,000 V-Bucks
As mentioned earlier, the pack features unique missions that reward you with premium Fortnite currency, which is the biggest incentive for buying this pack.
So if you were planning on buying some V-Bucks anyway, you should just get the pack instead, as you'll get almost as many V-Bucks for the money, with the added bonus of getting an exclusive skin.
Fortunately, the missions aren't out-of-this-world difficult. Take them as an incentive to play the game with your new skin! These types of packs usually stay in the Fortnite item store for a few weeks before being replaced with new ones. So don't wait too long if you plan to get it.
