The Fortnite data-miners dug through some files again and found a new service, which might be released soon: The Monthly Crew Pack – a subscription that offers some great value. Let's do like they did and dig in:
Fortnite is a free-to-play game, but there are still many ways to spend real money in the game. The most obvious one is the Battle Pass, which changes with every new season. In addition, new skins appear in the item store almost daily and can be bought with V-Bucks.
However, there's long been talk of a possible alternative or replacement for the Battle Pass system: a recurring subscription model.
According to an official survey on Epic Games, the developers really seem to be toying with this idea.

The Monthly Crew Pack
Some leakers have now found the so-called Monthly Crew Pack in the game's files. The picture shows the three main components of the Monthly Crew Pack:
- You get every new Battle Pass
- An early access crew package: Includes a skin plus a style, a Back Bling and a Pickaxe before they are available in the store
- 1.000 V-Bucks per month
How much will the Monthly Crew Pack cost?
Since it is still a work in progress, the price is not yet set in stone. However, the survey does give us some indication of a possible minimum and maximum price: It asks how much people would be willing to spend on the subscription and the options range from $4.99 to $15.99 (why anyone would even answer the survey with the highest price is beyond us).
Considering that 1,000 V-Bucks equal 10 Euros (you get 1000 V-Bucks a month with the Monthly Crew Pack), this subscription could indeed be a bargain. However, it should definitely be possible to cancel the subscription at the end of each month.
It is not yet certain, whether this type of subscription will come to Fortnite or not. The plan does seem like it has advanced too far for Epic Games to pull the plug though.
We at EarlyGame will definitely keep you informed. More news about Fortnite can be found in our Fortnite section.
