The current pandemic unfortunately does not allow offline tournaments in front of an audience. Of course, the developers would like to host real Esports events and plan to do so again in the future. But to protect the health of players and spectators, there are currently no offline Fortnite events planned in 2021. Still: the Fortnite World Cup will return next year with a new concept. In 2020, the game's World Cup was completely canceled.
Fortnite Champion Series: Update for 2021
Epic Games has announced their plans for FNCS in 2021. According to them, Three-player battles will become the new standard. FNCS for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 will begin on February 4, so there's plenty of time to get ready for battle! At the same time, the development team can make the necessary preparations until then.Epic Games will be announcing more information (as FNCS gets closer), including a schedule of weekly tournaments and Creator Cups to be held later in 2021.
