With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, a new melee weapon came into the game - and now Epic has already removed it again. We have all the details for you.
As we all know, Fortnite offers a wide range of weapons, and of course this range has been expanded with Chapter 4 Season 2. A new weapon was introduced to the game: the Kinetic Blade. This powerful item quickly became a fan favorite, but unfortunately we have to inform you that the katana can no longer be found in the game.
Why Epic Removed The Kinetic Blade From Fortnite
The Kinetic Blade was quite powerful and has become a fan favourite early on in Fortnite. With the Kinetic Blade's basic "Pushing Away Strike" attack, you could inflict damage on other players and send them spinning through the air a good bit.
Even more popular, however, was the Sprint Attack, which allowed you to charge up a slash that would hurl you forward and deal 60 damage to an enemy you targeted. However, most used the attack to move quickly, as you could perform the attack several times in a row in the air, for example to escape the storm, or to push an enemy.

How to kill anyone from any range with the Kinetic Blade: 1) Players must be in the open for this to work. 2) Disconnect wifi and dash to the players, you can use the slice feature reputedly until you feel like you've done 200 damage. 3) Reconnect wifi and you'll be... pic.twitter.com/oKGwB8bGUC

Epic Games has subsequently decided to disable the Kinetic Blade for all Fortnite playlists until the end of Chapter 4 Season 2. All missions involving the Kinetic Blade have been replaced with alternatives. We doubt the item will return in Season 3, so it's probably goodbye katana in the end. It's been nice with you.
