Get ready for the second Soundwave event in Fortnite! This time it's with the Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I. Here are the details.
Back in September 2021, Fortnite announced a new music event called Soundwave. The Soundwave series is a series of music shows featuring artists from around the world. Each show offers its own in-game interactive experience. In October 2021, Egyptian superstar Mohamed Hamaki performed in Fortnite. And now, Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I is coming to the Fortnite stage. Here come the details!
How to Participate in the Soundwave Event in Fortnite
Tones and I will be performing songs from their debut studio album, Welcome to the Madhouse. To attend, you simply need to join the SOUNDWAVE SERIES: TONES AND I mode sometime starting Saturday, January 22 at 00:00 CET, or enter the island code 5462-3620-7544. The show will be repeated continuously for 72 hours, until Tuesday, January 25 at 00:00 CET, so it's not a problem at all if you can't join it right away. You also have the option to watch the show via picture-in-picture in Battle Royale mode. However, this is only possible at certain times of the event, and you can access this mode via the in-game settings.
How to Get the Free Soundwave Cosmetics
Of course, there are cosmetics available for this event. If you attend the show live, you will receive a free spray of Tones and I as a souvenir. If you watch the show a second time, you'll even get some XP for your Battle Pass!
How to get the lobby music Cloudy Day and the emote Dance Monkey
Should you be a hardcore Tones and I fan, there are some pretty awesome cosmetics in the item store. The song “Cloudy Day” from the album Welcome to the Madhouse will be available as lobby music in the item store. You'll also be able to go nuts outside the Madhouse with an emote based on the record-breaking single Dance Monkey from their EP The Kids Are Coming. Both cosmetics will be available for purchase in the item store before the event, starting Thursday, January 20 at 01:00 CET.
Upcoming Soundwave Events
In the coming months, you'll also be able to catch shows from Brazilian rapper Emicida, Japanese pop artist and producer Gen Hoshino, and record-breaking Malian-French singer Aya Nakamura—all of them are planned to have a music event in Fortnite. We'll keep you updated as these artists make their appearance in the Fortnite Soundwave series.
And now, we hope you enjoy the show, you dance monkey, just make sure to bust your moves in the lobby before your match starts.
