Epic Games has released a new update for Fortnite and, in addition to a new weapon, has also improved the rifle and the vehicles are modified. We show you how to get the new weapon!
The big update 18.40 was postponed, so instead, we got another smaller update in Fortnite, making the hype for the new season even bigger and leaving us wondering: Will the new season be the beginning of Chapter 3?! Fortnite Update: New Weapon & Buffs
Epic Games is playing up a new hotfix for Fortnite update 18.30. On the official page, the developers have shared some patch notes and once again, you must vote on island defense.
As part of Island Defense, you voted with your bars to fund the Combat Assault Rifle - a new assault rifle variation.
They have also snuck a new gun into the weapon pool, the Combat Pistol. The pistol has historically been a pretty bad item in Fortnite, and you literally use it only if you cannot find anything else. It is quickly ejected from everyone's loadout.
The New Combat Pistol in Fortnite!
Like the Combat Assault Rifle, the Combat Pistol has a bit of spray power and tremendous punch. Epic Games goes on to say,
However, this punch power also comes with heavy recoil. So it requires a skilled shooter to use it to its full potential.
What they mean in terms of game mechanics is that the first shot accuracy will take longer to reset, so make the first shot count. Here's what all the Combat Pistol's stats look like:

How to Get the Combat Pistol
You can find the combat pistols in chests, on the ground, or while fishing, so you don't have to loot that much to get the weapon. With the small update, the Sideways rifle has also been improved a bit. The rifle now reaches super mode faster than before. The mode is also active longer and more accurate.
