Fortnite was removed from the Apple Store quite a while away, leaving the game more-or-less disabled on mobile for months. When is Fortnite returning to iOS? Let's take a look Fortnite's long-awaited return to Apple...

The ongoing dispute between Apple, Google, and Fortnite Publisher Epic Games has spelled a lot of trouble for fans of the iOS and Android versions of the game. While it's easy enough to play on Android with a workaround, it's a bit trickier on an iOS device. At this point, the game has been offline on iOS for more than ten months – the better part of a year – and fans are getting frustrated by the fact that this bizarre lawsuit is stopping them from playing the game that they love! So: when is Fortnite returning to Apple?

Are you keen for Fortnite to return to mobile? Are you excited to play Fortnite on iOS? Here's some recent Fortnite news to get you all up-to-date!

When Will Fortnite Return to iOS?

Fortnite should return to iOS in October of 2021, according to Apple Insider. Apple is the main problem in this process, as they are calling for more revenue from the highly-popular Battle Royale, since the game is hosted on the Apple Store. Look, we won't go into the lawsuit. We have plenty of articles on it, and the whole ordeal is rather tedious... Seriously, the greed of some people is unbelievable!

Can I Play Fortnite on Android?

Fortnite can still be played on Android, all you need to do is download a particular app on your phone. To do this, follow this link, and check out the instructions directly from the horses mouth... Well, Epic Game's mouth. This is the benefit of Android, folks, it is an open Operating System and there is a whole lot more freedom in its usage. Just because something has been removed from the Google Store does not mean that you can't use it, or download it another way. Enjoy! Oh, wait. It isn't just that Android is more open, Apple literally ruins Fortnite, as @imgoldenyt shared on Twitter:

"Epic used lots of memory for Fortnite mobile, creating a much better experience for Fortnite iOS players, however Apple forced them to reduce the memory use, creating a worse experience."

Sounds legit, and sounds like a really quality use of iOS. Seriously – at this stage, who even bothers buying iPhones anymore?
