Dragon Age 4, The Dread Wolf Rises, is coming, as announced at the Game Awards yesterday. Here’s what we know about it so far.
It’s been six years since Dragon Age: Inquisition has been released and every Dragon Age fan has been starving for the next one ever since. The vast universe of Thedas just has so much to offer and the stories of our favorite heroes are far from over. Especially given the ending of Inquisition (no matter which one, main game, or Trespasser).
But let's talk about what's really important.
The Trailer.
What We Know So Far
Well, your Dragon Age 4 hero will be a new face. No Hero of Ferelden, No Hawke, no Inquisitor.
A new hero for a new world, that being: Tevinter! The place that we only knew from stories is finally becoming playable for fans!
What we saw as concept art vastly differs from what we saw in the Trailer. Tevinter reminds us of a medieval Night City from Cyberpunk 2077, but we’re not mad at it at all.

The trailer was narrated by none other than Varric Tethras, and, as he said in his own words, “I’ve got your back”. This most likely means that our favorite dwarf once again returns as a companion!
As for when this game will be released, no statement has been given, unfortunately. Fans wish for it to be next year, but then again, Bioware should really just take their time with this and turn it into the best Dragon Age game yet, rather than push it out like Anthem or Andromeda. Let's just not disappoint fans again this time, pretty please.
And Let’s Talk About Those Graphics for a Moment!
Inquisition was a huge deal when it comes to graphics in a year such as 2014, but Bioware knows that isn’t enough anymore. And they show that they know. The graphics in the new Dragon Age trailer look absolutely insane and we cannot wait to see more of it.
Whether it’s next year or the year after, we are going to be waiting patiently… well, it's not like we have a choice.
