NVIDIA has finally unveiled its latest offering in the realm of PC gaming - the RTX Series 30 GPU’s. Turns out all the crazy rumors circling enthusiast communities for months are pretty much true and we are talking about a generation of absolutely beastly graphics cards. The stats almost look too good to be true.
It’s a good day to be a PC gamer, that’s for sure. Check out the trailer:
People in the PC-building world have been speculating and leaking info of the upcoming NVIDIA line for quite some time now, but many believed them to be too optimistic. Finally, the hardware manufacturer dropped all the info, complete with specs, a cool trailer, and a release date of September 17.
The line of high-end gaming gear consists of three models - the somewhat cheaper 3070, the 3080 viewed by many as the standard, and the crazy expensive 3090 aimed at PC maniacs and power users. These come at $500, $700, and $1,500 respectively, though supply and logistics issues always make the actual prices very different from the MSRP in many regions, especially around release.
The new cards feature RTX support, as well as some cool bells and whistles such as DLSS AI Acceleration and some advanced features for streamers and content creators.
The three cards come with 5888, 8704, 10496 CUDA cores respectively, as well as memory sizes of 8, 10, and 24 GB.
If you’re not quite sure what that means, don’t worry. It pretty much means that the new cards massively outperform the previous generation and do it for less money, making the bang-for-the-buck factor even sweeter. In fact, the last time we saw that big improvement between generations was way more than a decade ago.

Why is NVIDIA so aggressive with their pricing? From the looks of it, they don’t care about competing with AMD that much. It’s more likely that they try to outrun the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles and steer many users back to PC before the console release during the holidays. Whatever the case, if you’ve been itching to upgrade your rig and crank up those sweet RTX settings, now is the perfect time to do it.
