Zack Snyder, director of Rebel Moon, Justice League, 300 and more, recently said in an interview that he would love to bring Fortnite to the big screen! But the reactions are mixed. We have the exact details.
It is probably well known that Fortnite is now more than just a run-of-the-mill video game. No previous game has featured such blatant crossovers as the Travis Scott or Ariana Grande concert. And the story surrounding Fortnite is now also more than impressive.
Not only does The Rock himself play one of the main characters in Fortnite, but the Russo brothers, the directors of The Avengers, even produced the trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 back in the day!
So it's probably only a matter of time before a Fortnite movie hits the big screen. And after Louis Leterrier, director of Fast X (Fast & Furious 10), expressed his interest in a Fortnite film adaptation, the next filmmaker is now jumping on the hype bandwagon.
Zack Snyder, director of films such as 300, Justice League and most recently Rebel Moon, would also like to produce a Fortnite movie.
"Rebel Moon" Director Zack Snyder Wants to Produce a Fortnite Movie
Zack Snyder has repeatedly talked about Fortnite in previous interviews, which is why he is asked about the battle royale game from time to time. In an interview with Etalk on December 15, Snyder was then asked if he ever wanted to "combine" his two passions, filmmaking and playing Fortnite.
He quickly replied "of course", adding that he was also looking into bringing skins based on Rebel Moon to Fortnite.

In fact, this would come as no surprise to most, as a wide variety of characters from films and series such as DC, Marvel, The Walking Dead, Dune, Matrix and more have already been included in Fortnite.
Snyder also adds:
"You know, Fortnite is an amazing world and an amazing distraction for me. It's really cool and the alchemy they've created there is really unique. When I first started playing it, I thought I knew what it was and then it was something completely different."
When the interviewer followed up a bit on this statement regarding a possible movie, Snyder replied:
"You never know. But you can definitely never say never. That's my mantra in this business."
Zack Snyder has made a name for himself in Hollywood with numerous films and has caused a stir with his staging and stylistic means. However, he is also considered an unpleasant contemporary here and there and was recently extremely criticized for his Netflix series "Rebel Moon".
If he really does produce a Fortnite film at some point, let's hope he doesn't throw it in the garbage can.
