Nick Offerman: Last of Us Spin-Off For Bill And Frank "Certainly Has Been Pitched"

After The Last of Us won a total of eight Emmys, the most exciting statement about the future of the show was made by Nick Offerman, who plays Bill in episode 3. Frank and Bill could get their own spin-off series, where we could learn more about the lives of the two secret stars of Season 1.

The Last of Us Season 1 is already almost as classic as the original video game. After the show's impressive haul of eight Emmys, critics who had issues with Bella Ramsey's portrayal of Ellie or the distinctive Episode 3, which delved into the side story of Bill and his relationship with Frank, may need to reconsider.

It was basically the only episode where gamers got to see something new from the original story. We know it's always a critical point when show runners decide to do their own thing, but the awards speak for themselves, as Nick Offerman won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

And since this episode was so well received by most of us, the speculation about a possible spin-off for Bill and Frank is getting bigger and bigger. Deadline.com spoke with Offerman after his success, and his statement about a possible spin-off leaves us hoping for the best.

The Last of Us: Bill And Frank Could Get Their Own Mini Series

After being asked about a possible comeback of his character Bill in whatever form, Offerman said:

"It certainly has been pitched. I think we pitched a whole mini-series of a prequel of their lives before they met each other."

Whether or not it actually happens, he would definitely be willing to play Bill again:

"I was lucky this time. They needed a guy who could use a shovel. Three of us in Hollywood, Harrison Ford passed and Jane Lynch was not available."

Just as we know Offerman from his role as Ron Swanson on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, he was certainly in high spirits after winning his first Emmy. The entire night was a success for the show. Storm Reid, who plays Riley Abel, Ellie's love interest, won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. The show also won Emmys for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Visual Effects, Title Design, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Picture Editing.
