Are you excited for Project L, the upcoming fighting game from Riot Games? Can't wait to finally play a brand-new and unique fighting game? Then let's check out the most important thing: How much will you have to pay for this unique fighting game?
Recently, it was revealed that Project L is going to be getting a third showcase. The first time mortals like us got to play the game was at EVO 2023, and fans also got to check it out at the 2023 World Championship fan fest. Now, a third demo weekend has been revealed in early 2024.
EVO Japan is held yearly and Project L is going to be playable, with the devs looking to get more information from players, as well as feedback. In the announcement video, it was also revealed how much Project L is going to cost: Nothing.

Project L, like every other Riot Game thus far, is going to be free-to-play according to a recent announcement from Riot. This means that we are likely going to have skins and cosmetics in the game to spice up our characters. It's also likely that Riot will include some form of battle pass like they have in Teamfight Tactics or Legends of Runeterra.
This is great news for fans, since they'll be able to download and play the game as soon as it finally releases, though it still seems to be a ways off from an official beta. In Summer 2023, a Street Fighter pro who had been invited to check out the game, did reveal that the beta is far out, meaning we should be prepared for an official launch after 2024.
Hell, the game doesn't even have a name yet! But at least we know it'll be a free game, and knowing the work Riot have put into their other titles, this game is going to be extremely fun. Now if only we could learn about a few more characters... like is Yuumi going to be playable?
