The Golden Joystick Awards, the world's most significant audience-voting gaming awards, are back! The categories and shortlists are now live, and you've got the chance to vote for your favorites.
The Golden Joystick Awards, also known as the People's Gaming Awards, is a video game awards ceremony that recognizes the best video games of the year. Initially, only the British public could vote, but now anyone can cast their vote online.
The awards initially focused on computer games, but later expanded to console games due to the success of video game consoles such as the Sega Master System and the Sega Mega Drive (aka Sega Genesis) in the UK. This is the 38th Golden Joystick Awards and is the second oldest awards ceremony for video games after the Arcade Awards.
The voting for the Golden Joystick Awards 2020 is now open and you can choose between the greatest games of the last 12 months. Your vote can make all the difference in the hotly contested categories such as Best Indie Game, Best Storytelling, Best Studio, and the prestigious Most Wanted award.
