Janne Stefanovski better known as Gorgc on the Twitch streaming platform has announced that he and OG parted ways. Was it conflict of interest?
Famous Dota 2 streamer and content creator Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski revealed that he is no longer part of OG. The streamer and the organization have parted ways. The news came from Gorgc’s official Twitter.

In the Twitlonger he states:
Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know, OG and I have parted ways. This has honestly been weighing pretty hard on me the past few weeks, but unfortunately what we set out doing in the start of me signing with OG to cast their games, has changed a lot when they started being involved in organising tournaments. We went back and forth a lot on how to make it work but it was really hard finding a long term solution.I have literally nothing but love for the players on OG and am grateful to have had the chance to work so closely with them all. I wish them nothing but the best and still support them as a team, but officially we just have to part ways.
By the looks of everything ended in a good way. We can’t help but wonder why though? Some people have already speculated that it might be due to the coronavirus pandemic. OG signed Gorgc on January 29 before the start of the COVID-19 worldwide crisis. As a result of the latter, many countries imposed quarantines or straight-up travel bans. Reportedly Gorgc’s contract included traveling to events, doing interviews and content for the team, and more. None of that was essentially possible, since Dota 2 hasn’t had any LAN events. They all switched to an online format and there’s still no indication that will change in the months to come.
Another good theory is the conflict of interest. The Dota 2 OMEGA League is currently underway. The tournament is organized by Epic Esports Events, We Play! Esports and various big Dota 2 teams, including OG. Since Gorgc likes to watch official games and cast them himself, OG might have felt he’ll be drawing some part of the supposed audience. There have been cases of conflict of interest in the past and we doubt they’ll ever end. We can’t be certain that’s the situation with Gorgc though.
The only certain thing is that Gorgc is no longer part of OG. We doubt this will change much for the streamer as he'll probably continue to do his own commentary on big tournaments. You can find Gorgc's official Twitch stream here.
