EA FC 24 Penalty Tutorial: How to Convert Penalties
When shooting, you need to watch the moving circle around the ball. It changes from red to green and from large to small. Ideally, you should press the shoot button when the circle is very small and green.
Choose the player with the highest penalty rating as the shooter. The circle moves much slower and is easier to hit!
Charge up about 3 bars and then, as your player runs up, choose between 5 targets: Top/Bottom Left, Top/Bottom Right, or Center. It's crucial that you really direct the stick up or down if you decide on a corner. The center would then be the fifth target. However, never shoot left/right at middle height, as this automatically increases the chances for your opponent to save the ball.
You might think: "Well, the opponent doesn't know where I'm shooting anyway!" That may be true, but you didn't end up reading this tutorial because your current plan is working.
The reason is simple. EA has introduced save zones for the goalkeeper. Previously, these were always limited to 3: Left, Middle, Right. Since EA FC 24, these have been increased to the 5 aforementioned zones.
With the help of the image, you should now understand what's being discussed. If you aim at mid-height, you restrict the save zones to just 3 by your own doing. Consequently, the goalkeeper only needs to guess the right side and not the height.

Here's a step-by-step guide for you:
