Sure, a good gaming mouse has to meet a few criteria in order to be considered such, but almost every model offers the most important features. All you need to do is enter "gaming mouse" into Google to see just how many models there are. Since we don't want to go into too much detail in our article, we have selected five very good gaming mice that we want to bring to your attention. We consider both wired and wireless mice, and offer something for casual gamers as well as sports enthusiasts.
Since the choice for the best gaming mouse is very subjective and, for example, not everyone attaches importance to programmable buttons, we present you with the following five mice, without a special ranking.
Best Gaming Mice: No Cable, No Problem – Logitech G Pro Wireless
If you don't feel like messing around with cables and are looking for a really good wireless mouse, the Logitech G Pro Wireless is a good choice. Sure, the price of almost €100 sounds heavy for players who have only used wired mice up to now, but the money is worth it. The G Pro Wireless was developed in collaboration with Esports enthusiasts and is particularly light. The wireless connection shows no delay, and you can play with the charging cable connected. However, the mouse can also be charged wirelessly and, thanks to the thumb buttons on both sides, is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users. The only downside, in our opinion, is that the switch to change the DPI (up to 16,000) is on the bottom.
Best Gaming Mice: The Perfect All-Rounder – Logitech G502 Hero
Best Gaming Mice: The Classic – Razer DeathAdder V2
If you are not a Logitech fan, the best thing to do is use the Razer DeathAdder V2, a true classic among gaming mice. The rather simple design and the ergonomic shape allows for hours of gaming. The total of 8 buttons are sensibly placed and, of course, programmable. As with the Logitech G502 Hero, up to 5 DPI profiles can be saved here, which can be switched through with the DPI button. Here, too, the disadvantage is that the mouse is unfortunately only suitable for right-handers.
Best Gaming Mice: The Esports Pro – Endgame Gear XM1
Best Gaming Mice: The Lightweight – Glorious Model D
Visually, this is probably the most eye-catching mouse. But all the holes make a lot of sense – they reduce the weight of the Model D to an unbelievably light 68 grams. This makes it one of the lightest gaming mice on the market, and thanks to the holey design, sweaty hands are no longer a problem. The total of six buttons are all programmable, and the DPI can be switched through in six levels between 400-12,000. Disadvantages of the Glorious Model D include that the DPI switch is on the underside of the mouse, and that it is again only suitable for right-handers. In addition, you shouldn't be a fanatic of cleanliness, because thanks to the many holes, cleaning the Model D is quite time-consuming.
These were our top five gaming mice for 2021. We hope that there was something here for you, and that we could help you with your purchasing decision.
