One of the biggest esports events of the year, spanning a massive 8-week period, has now officially started! Here’s what you should expect to see.
Hearthstone Grandmasters Season 2 has officially begun! The show will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until September 6, take a break for Masters Tour Online: Montreal, and then continue in full swing between September 18 and October 11.
Ten new pro players have been included in the big league, including the lucky promotion of David "killinallday" Acosta, who’s taking the spot of Edward "Gallon" Goodwin, who quits his pro player path to join Blizzard and actually work on making Hearthstone from now on.
This is a massive show broadcasted in 9 different languages and commentated by some of the game’s best talent including Dan “Frodan” Chou,TJ “Azumo” Sanders, Darroch “Darroch” Brown, and Alex “Raven” Baguley.
Players will be fighting over their share of a $500,000 prize pool in a series of different matches including Swiss rounds in weeks 1-3, a Round Robin in weeks 5 to 7, and the final Playoffs in the 8th week of the competition.
