Hearthstone’s Galakrond’s Awakening will be live soon and you can expect coverage from us. More importantly, however, the second nerf patch that was pushed out to players last Thursday which means only one thing: meta change. In brief, the major update was finally aimed at Shaman, more specifically, Galakrond’s Shaman. Despite seeing the nerf hammer already, it was still one of the strongest decks in the game. The deck’s win rate is currently incredibly low, so good luck picking it right now.
Due to the nature of the latest set of changes, it’s very safe to assume the meta hasn’t changed yet. It takes a while for players, specifically higher-ranked players, to test the waters and find out the latest and greatest in cards. Currently, Rogueis seeing early domination in professional and high-level play. Yes, you heard me. In addition, a huge wave of Warlockbuilds is making its way onto the ladder. Quest Resurrect Priest is back from the dead and has gained a following on the higher end of the leaderboard but not enough for it to be dominating the current meta.

What’s most interesting at the moment is how diverse the successful decks are. This, of course, is down to new patch but I, for one, welcome the variety in play styles. I’m really not fond of one deck dominating everything else – it makes playing the game very stale in my opinion.
