League of Legends continues to produce patches for us, and with Patch 10.10 arriving soon, we wanted to let you know the best champions to be playing before the next patch arrives. Keep reading for more details!
League of Legends is currently on Patch 10.9, with Patch 10.10 expected to arrive on May 13. If you need a full list of when the dates are for these patches, we've got you covered.
This gives you ample time to play a few broken champions here and there, so, what are those champions? Let's get you clued on who's OP for Patch 10.9.
Miss Fortune
Perfect aim, speed, and damage, Miss Fortune has done significant damage in the bottom part of Summoner's Rift, so much so that she's OP for Patch 10.9. Miss Fortune is picked for her incredible speed, damage, crowd-control slow and fantastic team fight ultimate which deals massive damage if used correctly.
So, how do you build her? Your end-game build should look something like this for maximum DPS:
- Berserker's Greaves
- Infinity Edge
- Rapid Firecannon
- Bloodthirster
- Guardian Angel
This build gives maximum damage, crit damage, life steal and increased survival with Guardian Angel, should you be picked off earlier in a teamfight, with the sixth item being blank so you can fill that in for your situational games. As for your skills, max W first, followed by your Q with points in E here and there. Miss Fortune is here to stay, so be sure to pick her first for the bottom lane.
Yuumi
This cute cat has claws and when paired with Miss Fortune or Draven, you best believe the bottom lane of the Summoner's Rift is in trouble. Yuumi is picked regularly during Patch 10.9 due to her W, You and Me! granting each other bonus attack damage or ability power. Her versatility in the early game (ha!) means Yuumi can help dish out damage while keeping the main damage dealer alive. So, how do you built this cool cat?
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity
- Redemption
- Athene's Unholy Grail
- Ardent Censer
- Locket of the Iron Solari
This build ensures some damage, protection, and cooldown reduction to keep those spells coming for your main damage dealer. Yuumi can dish out some damage with this build, but not enough to be a significant factor in the kit. As for abilities, you should be taking your Q, Prowling Projectile, above all else, followed by your E, Zoomies, with an emphasis on maxing your Q first for great poke damage. Since you can be attached to a champion, Yuumi can go wherever your damage dealer goes, with a fantastic healing sustain and buffs that'll ensure a rage quit is imminent for the enemy team.
Zed
Zed's not dead, he's very much alive and destroying the middle part of the Summoner's Rift, we'll have you know. Zed has seen demand in Patch 10.9 due to his sheer aggressive nature, damage, and versatility for roaming around the rift. Zed's Q, Razor Shuriken, is fantastic for clearing creep waves, getting gold, and gradually wearing your enemy down. Did we mention Zed has no Mana? He's working on energy, which means that he can stay in the lane longer and very quickly use his accumulated gold to dominate with damage. How do you build this deadly ninja, then?
- Mercury's Treads
- Duskblade of Darktharr
- Youmuu's Ghostblade
- Lord Dominik's Regards
- Guardian Angel
Damage, damage, damage! This build is all about dishing out damage, taking out a champion with ease, and returning to your lane. Zed isn't the easiest champion to play, so we've included Guardian Angel as in the later stages of your League of Legends game, your life becomes more important to the team. As for skills, maxing your Q is a must, followed by your W with points in E here and there. Your priority is to deal damage, blow up a squishy champion, and get out alive.
Graves
He's a literal walking grave maker. Graves has seen an eruption in popularity in the jungle due to his fantastic clear rate, great defense, and extreme damage outputs at all points of the game. Graves is an essential pick for the team and a reliable champion for taking those large monster objectives. So, how do you build a dead man walking?
- Enchantment: Warrior
- Youmuu's Ghostblade
- Berserker's Greaves
- Duskblade of Draktharr
- Edge of Night
Speed, damage, defense, what more could you want? This build guarantees you have the damage, the speed, and the defense to keep you alive and moving. We'll keep the last slot open to ensure you change things up depending on the game. For Graves, it's essential to start with your E, max your Q and your W should only be maxed near the later stages of the game.
Darius
Darius doesn't need an in-depth explanation here, but the short end of why Darius is so broken this Patch 10.9 is his ability to dominate with sheer strength, quickly and effectively. Well, this is great, you think, but what's the catch? See, Darius needs to win fast. Should the game go for far too long (we're talking upwards of 40mins here), then he significantly falls off in teamfights, becoming more useless as time goes on. The tip here is to win hard and fast and here's how:
- Mercury's Treads
- Trinity Force
- Dead Mans Plate
- Sterak's Gage
- Spirit Visage
Speed, damage, and health are the important trio for Darius to demolish the top half of the Summoner's Rift. What's important here is the Trinity Force item spike which you should get as a priority as the additional buffs it includes work so well with him. The remaining items are naturally more tanky to ensure survival while you dunk on your enemies at Level 6 and beyond.
With Darius, you should pick his W first, followed by maxing his Q second with E being the last skill to fully max. With this build, we're sure you'll be dominating the top lane in no time.
