Riot Games doesn't stop with the changes, as Patch 10.10 has arrived for League of Legends fans. New skins, some big changes to Udyr, oh, and URF makes a comeback this patch! Let's get into those big changes, shall we?

We mentioned in our previous article that the state of League of Legends that toxicity within the game needs to be addressed and it's something Riot has finally mentioned in the patch notes.

"The first of our short term plans is to adjust our Reporting and Punishment system. In 10.10, you should start to see more frequent "Instant Feedback" reports for disruptive behavior as we work on tweaking our behavioral systems."

Notable buffs

Patch 10.10 saw a large range of champions buffed, namely:

  • Annie
  • Irelia
  • Nidalee
  • Sivir
  • Soraka
  • Twisted Fate
  • Udyr

Out of all of these, Twisted Fate, Udyr, and Nidalee are the champions to pick for Patch 10.10. Being dealt a weak hand for a while now, Twisted Fate hasn't exactly been the pick of the pack recently, so the changes to his base stats now giving him more damage from 49.954 to 52 and armor increased 20.542 to 21 make him a must-pick for the mid lane. Something that you also can't miss here is the dramatic reduction to his ultimate, Destiny, which now only costs 100 mana.

"This spirit walker has been walking a lonely road, since he's not performing particularly well anywhere."

Oh Udyr, you poor thing. Riot Games still can't seem to find the sweet spot with this guy, but in Patch 10.10, the company has finally given him some much-needed love and attention. He sees an increase in movement speed, we should mention, by the incredible +5, and rounded out, his other stats to make him a contender now in the jungle.

"We're looking to bring our huntress back on the prowl, so we’re (javelin) tossing Nidalee a bone by amping up her signature spell as she scales into late game."

Nidalee's Q, Javelin Toss, has been increased, making her a much more formidable kitty to handle. The damage ratio has been increased to 0.5 ability power (1.5 ability power maximum).Seems like we will see her play with her prey more before landing the killing Q blow.

Notable nerfs

Miss Fortune Lo L

"Putting a bit less pep in this pirate queen’s step"

Riot Games has toned down several champions this Patch 10.10, including:

  • Diana
  • Katarina
  • Kayn
  • Kled
  • Miss Fortune
  • Maokai
  • Taric

Miss Fortune'sluck seems to be running out, with her W, Strut, finally being addressed with a movement speed reduction that will hopefully put this pretty pirate packing less gold in the bottom half of the Summoner's Rift. With her speed reduced from 60/70/80/90/100 to 50/60/70/80/90, you'll be seeing this pirate picked a little less this patch 10.10.

Kayn very slowly crept up in Patch 10.9, with his healing leaving him a little too healthy, and so Riot was quick to change that before he gets out of hand again. We bless the Riot gods again for finally addressing Kled, who was seeing massive success in the early game, increasing his Q, Beartrap on a rope, from 9/8.5/8/7.5/7 seconds to 11/10/9/8/7 seconds.

URF Makes a return for Patch 10.10

Thresh and Blitzcrank players will finally rejoice in being able to hit a skill shot for once, as Riot flips the switch and turns on URF mode for players to enjoy! URF will officially begin on May 14! Also, the new set of Pulsefire skins will be released! What do you think of them?

Conclusion

League of Legends saw more changes to increase diversity in the game. The nerfs to Miss Fortune were needed, and the addition of URF means we'll all feel good about being able to finally hit skill shots. For more League of Legends, keep it here with EarlyGame.
