This week, Riot Games has put the fear in us at EarlyGame by letting the horrifying bundle of hay Fiddlesticks loose in the Summoner's Rift for the upcoming patch 10.7! With brand-new lore and a new title to boot, the Harbinger of Doom finally arrived on the Public Beta Environment. Keep going to find out what horrors are in place for the incoming patch.
What's coming?
Fiddlesticks will arrive entirely reconstructed with new skins, voice lines, interactions and kit modifications that we covered in our previous article. In a recent update for League of Legends, Fiddlesticks arrives with brand-new lore and a new title: The Ancient Fear, along with an incredibly haunting biography that details Fiddlesticks as the true harbringer of doom.
"But these are simply fables to frighten young children. No one would ever be afraid of a silly old monster called Fiddlesticks… Until now."
Fiddlesticks aside, five other skins will be arriving that include a nice variety of cosplay appearances, and they look cute as a button! This is an obvious homage from Riot Games to the League of Legends cosplay community. After all, it's the cosplayers who put the creations of Riot Games into the real world.
Joining them are three new additions to the Worldbreaker skins which bring new life to Malzahar, Maokai, and Sion. A notable change that has gone into the PBE is Galio's ultimate – Hero's Entrance – that will grant all allied champions in the area Shield of Durand. This could bring Galio back from the dead as his play percentage is looking quite low at the moment, sitting at 48.90% this patch.
Right now the PBE is filled with screams and terror as Fiddlesticks takes lanes and lives with his new abilities. Players are really taking advantage of his new passive that creates duplicated scarecrows to instill more fear. We at EarlyGame expect Fiddlesticks to make a significant impact when he finally claws his bloody soiled hands to the live servers.
