League of Legends patch notes continues, and this set of patch notes is causing quite the discussion within the LoL community. New buffs, new pro player target nerfs, Lillia is joining us, and Spirit Blossom skins will arrive. You know the drill by now, let's get into it, shall we?

Riot Games teased us Lillia, The Bashful Bloom, the next Jungler for League of Legends, and isn't she adorable! If you haven't seen anything Lillia related, we have got you covered, even how to get her for free!

READ MORE:

Lillia will officially join League of Legends in patch 10.15, so prepare for the Jungler to get a whole lot cuter. LoL Patch 10.15 could get even better if Riot Games teases anything else to do with Yone, the masked assassin, but we will have to wait for those Spirit Blossom skins to release, as they could hold to key to Yone.

Note: Spirit Blossom Thresh, Spirit Blossom Vayne, Spirit Blossom Yasuo, Spirit Blossom Lillia, Spirit Blossom Teemo, and Spirit Blossom Teemo Prestige Edition will be available today, July 22, 2020.

Patch 10.15 saw some interesting champion buffs which include:

  • Caitlyn
  • Gragas
  • Irelia
  • Rakan
  • Shen
  • Skarner
  • Swain
  • Yuumi

Let us discuss some notable changes.

"The general and his demon birds are performing fine in Average play, but they do worse the further up the ladder you climb."

Yes, you heard it, right folks, Swain is getting some buffs, and nerfs, but mostly buffs in this latest lol patch. Let's focus on those changes. A controversial removal, especially among Swain mains, is the removal of Swain being able to recover mana from his passive, Ravenous Flock.

This change makes sense, with his additional buffs coming, for example, Swain's Q, Death's Hand, can now pass through champions, which is huge for Swain now, so having that passive mana recover would make Swain far too powerful.

Another massive change to Swain is his W, Vision of Empire, which, with the new ranges now introduced, he now has the range of an entire empire. Once maxed, his W is nearly global around Summoner's Rift.

Swain

W - Vision of Empire

  • RANGE: 3500 now 5500/6000/6500/7000/7500
  • DAMAGE: 100/150/200/250/300 now 80/120/160/200/240.
  • COST: 70/85/100/115/130 mana. Now 70/80/90/100/110 mana

We are looking forward to this upgraded Swain into Summoner's Rift. Swain mains, what do you think of these changes? Let us know over on Facebook.

"Yuumi was mush, mushed! by her E mana cost nerf in 10.13, so we’re here to follow up (and give her all the chin scratches in the process)"

Yes, League of Legends fans, Yuumi is getting another buff. Possibly one of the most controversial champions at the moment, especially as players called for Riot Games to delete Yuumi altogether, these changes are towards her passive, Bop 'N' Block:

Passive - Bop ‘n’ Block

  • MANA RESTORE: 50-160 (levels 1-18) now 25-100 (+8% maximum mana) (levels 1-18)
  • COOLDOWN: 20-8 seconds (levels 1-18) now 18-6 seconds (levels 1-18)

Fans were not happy about Yuumi being in the buff list, and while there is some general understanding here, there is no denying that the nerfs to Yuumi in patch 10.13 made her win-rate plummet from above 50%, to under 45%.

Yuumi wins more in the later stages of the game, which is where her kit truly becomes terrifying in the late-game, sorry EarlyGame fans. The buff, as small as it is, is needed for Yuumi right now. However, we will need to keep an eye on how she fairs during patch 10.15.

"We’re increasing the scorpion’s damage so he’s more equipped to slash through front line targets"

If you are looking for a good time in the Jungle for patch 10.15, then look no further than Skarner. Skarner has received some rather nifty bonuses to his Q damage, in addition to some changes to his mana. Crystal Slash will be pulling some punches in patch 10.15, so ensure you lock Skarner in for that extra-damage.

One the small-scale of patch 10.15, Gragas is now AP! Riot Games is steering his drunkard into the direction of dealing even more magic damage. His W, Drunken Rage and R, Explosive Cask, have had their ability power increased to make is late-game damage just that more impactful.

Notable Nerfs

Riot Games has nerfed a few champions for Patch 10.15, and most of them target professional players, these include:

  • Aphelios
  • Fiddlesticks
  • Lee Sin
  • Ornn
  • Thresh
  • Twisted Fate

Let us begin with the faithful five, leaving one champion until last. What is most interesting about patch 10.15 is the inclusion of pro player champion nerfs. Ornn, Lee Sin, Fiddlesticks, Twisted Fate, and Thresh are slightly adjusted to ensure a more diverse meta for summer playoffs and worlds, confirmed via Mark Yetter on Twitter.

It is fair to say the inclusion of pro player champion specific nerfs will be frequent in up-coming patches, to ensure important LoL Esports games are not stale and boring to watch.

We mentioned there would be one champion left until last, and that is Aphelios. We have mentioned this in previous articles, but Aphelios is possibly one of the most complex characters to balance in League of Legends, and to this date, changes are in which decrease his turret attack range, slow down turret targeting speed, with the rest of the changes aimed towards weakening Infernum’s synergy with Runaan’s Hurricane.

These introduced changes are nice, as Runaan's Hurricane was far too powerful for Aphelios to utilise with his kit. It is not the last of his nerfs though, as even with these changes, he's still strong.
