It’s time to look at the upcoming League of Legends Patch 10.20. These changes will not be affecting the 2020 World Championship which is going to start this coming Friday at 10:00 CEST with the LEC’s fourth team Mad Lions facing off against Brazilian INTZ.
This Patch will focus on the Solo Queue meta and the champions which are deemed strongest as well as those who have seen the most playtime.
Along with the nerfs and buffs, Riot will be releasing another set of skins. Fitting with their Teamfight Tactics counterpart – Dragon themed skins. Lee Sin is going to receive a legendary new look as “Storm Dragon Lee Sin” while Ashe, Brand, Aurelion Sol and Sett will also get some new skins. Sett will also be receiving a Prestige Edition of his Dragonmancer skin.

Now that we’ve got that aside, let’s take a quick look at what else is in store for us on the rift.
As mentioned, nerfs will affect champions hovering around a 50-53% Win Rate in Solo Queue. The champion who will receive a bigger change is Katarina. Her play Rate is around 6% and her win rate is at 52%. She will have her AD ratio on her passive lowered which will have a direct effect on her early game Attack Damage.
Other champions Riot has decided to cut down on are Karthus and Nunu. They have been especially popular in the jungle and therefore will see their survivability in the jungle be reduced.
Lulu who has been the most dominant support with a win rate of 53% is getting her W attack speed reduced. If cast on an ally the given attack speed is down from 25-45% to 20-35%.
Of course with the quick hotfix to Samira, she might also be seeing some attention again next week, but Riot will continue to monitor her after the micro patch which they implemented right after she went live on all servers.

Along with Nerfs, Riot will also be buffing some of their most popular champions in high Elo such as Ryze, Varus, and Aatrox. They will gain quite an increase to their late-game scaling, especially Aatrox whose R healing will increase from 50-70% to 50-100%.
Braum is also going to get a little push out of the B-tier of supports with an increase of his Q which will have a boost to its damage, as well as cost less mana. Maybe we will see Braum played once more?
This patch will see many changes coming to Solo Queue, especially the jungle role, with Riot trying to make jungle Sion and Urgot a viable option, while nerfing already decent janglers in Nunu and Karthus.
