League of Legends Wild Rift is the mobile version of the classic MOBA and is about to launch. The Open Beta is now available in some countries but when is it Europe's turn?

The mobile version of League of Legends was officially announced almost a year ago. Wild Rift will soon be available for all smartphone devices. The official Closed Beta was launched less than two weeks ago, but so far only in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. When is it Europe's turn?

Closed Beta Moves to the Next Phase

With League of Legends Wild Rift, Riot aims to conquer the smartphone market and compete with games like Mobile Legends and Vainglory. The official release is scheduled for late 2020 and should be available for both Android and iOS. With the turn of the year approaching, Riot is now under some pressure.

Two weeks ago, the closed beta officially started. Users can still register on the official website. However, only Android users can get access and the regions are also restricted. On October 8 the test phase expands, and two more regions will be added: Japan and South Korea. As far as Europe is concerned, Riot is still keeping a low profile.

When is Europe's Turn?

As far as other test regions are concerned, Riot is currently less willing to provide information. The first priority is to test the stability of the game and the servers extensively before extending the beta to other regions. Riot continues to use words like "later".

Players from Europe will probably have to be patient and there are currently no valid reasons to postpone the late launch date.
