It hasn't even been a whole day since Milio, the newest League of Legends Champion, was released until he was hit with some hefty nerfs. Riot deployed a hotfix for him only a few hours after he was made available to play.
Many League of Legends fans have been eagerly waiting for his release and on March 23, 2023. Milio, the Gentle Flame has arrived on Summoner's Rift and he has shown what he is capable of. Just on the very first day the male enchanter from Ixtal was available to play, his win rate jumped to over 51%.
This is very unusual, since most of the time players need a few days to learn how to properly utilize a new champion. The thing with Milio? He is quite easy to pick up and really, really strong! The devs took immediate action and went ahead with some hefty nerfs for our new support champ.
New LoL Champion Milio: These Are His Hotfix Nerfs
On March 23, 2023 the Riot devs released a Tweet informing players that they have deployed some hotfixes for the new League of Legends Champion. Milio has been going on a rampage, being a nightmare to match up against, simply because his power level was off the charts.
Let's take a look at the nerfs Riot rolled out yesterday:
Passive - Fired Up!
- AD Scaling: 15-50% ⇒ 15-35%
W - Cozy Campfire
- Healing: 80/110/140/170/200 ⇒ 70/90/110/130/150
E - Warm Hugs
- Shields: 60/90/120/150/180 (+30% AP) ⇒ 60/80/100/120/140 (+25% AP)
- Cooldown: 17/16/15/14/13 ⇒ 18/17/16/15/14

Well I don't know about you, but to me those look like some pretty heavy nerfs! Fair enough, the AD scaling on his passive was quite broken from the go, but cooldown nerfs like on his E will have a significant impact on him.
Milio is an enchanter, he relies heavily on his abilities to bring anything to the table. If he doesn't have them available, he is pretty much useless. He can't tank and enchanters aren't great when it comes to dealing damage either.

We're pretty certain these changes will show immediate effect, his win rate will very likely drop under 50% now. But as we said, once people get the hang of Milio, it will most likely even out again. That effect is always prevalent, no matter if it's an approachable champion like him, or a high-skill pick like K'Sante.
