LoL Patch 10.22: Top 5 Midlaners – This Is the Crème de la Crème

Mid Lane Zed
Will Zed be Number 1 even after nerfs?

Patch 10.22 changed up some things for the midlane with buffs to champions like LeBlanc and nerfs to our resident Number 1 pick Zed. Will these changes have any effect on our top 5 List for this patch though?

In this LoL tier list, we'll show you the best champions for each lane. We especially focus on win rate and the carry potential because you often have to carry your teammates in any given game. Today, we will take a look at the Midlane.

Not a Midlaner? We've also got more content for you!

Which Midlaners Are Strong in LoL Patch 10.22?

5. Orianna (Win Rate: 49.2%)

Do you want to play a lane dominant team fighting champion? Well then look no further, because Orianna is the midlaner for you. She is a high damage output midlaner who can push the lane. She is great at creating early leads for herself and then, once she has two items she can dish out immense amounts of damage, especially once she’s been equipped with a sweet hat by the name of Rabadan’s Deathcap. She is going to shred through enemies and her ultimate can win any teamfight. Just be careful since she is rather squishy and doesn’t have any cc or escape tools.

4. Vladimir (Win Rate: 51.4%)

Vladimir is a strong midlane mage with sustain built into his kit which makes him easy to play. He can heal up with his Q – Transfusion when he gets low. His W – Sanguine Pool will also keep him safe and is a great escape tool, making him quite difficult to gank. Once Vladimir has survived the early game he can scale better than any midlaner to become a lategame monster who will be able to win in any teamfight.

3. Fizz (Win Rate: 51.6%)

Fizz is incredibly slippery and hard to gank thanks to his high mobility. He can jump into a fight and get back out before he overstayed his welcome. His E – Playful/Trickster is the key. Keep it for any situation where it seems like Fizz might have been a bit too far forward and then pull back to escape any gank. Remember, Fizz doesn’t just want to stay in his own lane. Roam around the map for some surprise ganks once he has reached level 6 and has his ultimate ability!

Zed (Win Rate: 51.5%)

Zed was nerfed? Really? It sure doesn’t feel like it, since he is still just as strong as he was. His E – Shadow Slash lost some of its base damage, but he has so many other ways in which he can destroy the opposition, that this small nerf was barely felt and he is still one of the most dominant midlaners in this patch.

He is still a reliable ganking midlaner once he survives his laning phase. His mobility lets him slip in and out of any situation and come out on top every single time. Not to mention the high damage output he has in the late game make him one of the best snowballing champions in the game.

Yone (Win Rate: 50.1%)

Spirit Blossom Yone HD

Yone has really climbed the ranks over the last few patches to make it here. His early game isn’t the greatest since he is a melee champion who will most likely be going up against ranged midlaners. So, players should keep in mind to not overextend until they have all their spells to be able to trade. If the opponent is also a melee midlaner, Yone is able to play more forward and trade.

Yone is especially strong in the mid-game, since he deals both physical, as well as magic damage so opponents won’t have enough gold to itemize against both. Pick up Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge to give Yone that 100% crit which will be able to shred through any enemies. These kills will catapult him ahead and he won’t be able to be stopped anymore.
