Buckle up boys and girls, this is the final patch of 2020 and it’s a big one. The developers will be keeping an eye out for any outliers and any over-performing champions and items. So, expect a B-patch at some point as well. But let’s not look too far ahead and check out what is in store for us after today.
Along with variousitem and champion changes, Rell will be making her debut on Summoner’s Rift, riding along into the bot lane as an armor shredding tank support. She will be the sixth new champion Riot introduces this year.
New skins are also going to be made available. Rell, Diana, Katarina, Qiyana, and Janna will look fierce with their new Battle Queen skins, while Rakan & Xayah, Iver, Azir, and Ornn will sport Elderwood skins. It’s been a long time coming for the Forge God,eh?
What else can players expect from this update though? A few patches ago we were blessed with URF, but this time around players will get to experience Nexus Blitz, the quick and easy game-mode with mini-games wherein you can finish within 15-20 minutes rather than the usual 30.

The item shop has also gained some more updates to its UI on Patch 10.25. Players can now pin open any of the quick buy tabs and also adjust the size of the shop in their settings. It was too big? Make it smaller! A few other changes, such as the initial page being the item suggestion now being the home page as well as better suggestions since there is more data available from games played.
A couple of changes to ranked are also heading players’ ways. The ranked reset at the beginning of the season isn’t going to be as big as previous years, which means players will end up closer to their rank from last year initially. This also means that LP gains and losses will be slightly smaller.
Another quality-of-life change is the chatbox, which will have a smaller font and be a bit wider. A couple of bug fixes were also added, to make scrolling better and make the game playable.
Of course, as mentioned above, there are also many Champion and Item updates. Critical strike items are getting buffed, to give ADCs a better fighting chance into the mid-game, since they’ve seemed rather weak in the current meta, while tank items, especially those with Bami’s Cinder, are getting nerfed, since the item was too strong.
Samira is getting another nerf on this patch. Instead of knocking up immobilized champions, she will keep already knocked up champions in the air a little longer. Her ultimate crit lifesteal effectiveness has been bumped to 66.6% from 100%.
Pantheon will be more of a bruiser champion by giving him more selfish outputs like armor penetration at the cost of utility. These changes are coming to try and bring back the top-lane Pantheon of old. The cooldown refund of his Q has been upped from 50% to 60% and the mana has been reduced from 40 mana to 30.

The other champion getting a big rework this patch is Anivia who has been feeling quite out-of-date for a while already. Her basic attacks are going to move a little faster. Her Q is going to slow opponents it passes through. The abilities damage has also been upped, though the cooldown increased slightly. Overall, the changes made to Anivia will hopefully make her soar over Summoner’s Rift once more.
