It’s time again to look forward to what awaits League of Legends players in the coming week. Last week we were introduced to the Ruined King who will be the new champion added to League of Legends. The first of 6 coming in 2021.
The Ruined King is already playable on PBE, so there is a high chance he will be made available for everyone with Patch 11.2. Other than that, there are quite a few item and champion changes that await us. Mark Yetter, Gameplay Design Director tweeted out some potential changes coming with the new patch.

Turbo Chemtank will be a little bit more affordable as of Patch 11.2 with a decrease in cost. But that isn’t all players will be getting. The item will gain an increase from 15 Ability Haste to 20, but the armour is going to see a bit of a decrease.
A similar thing will happen to Frostfire Gauntlet which is also getting a new, cheaper, build path as well as an increase in Ability Haste and a decrease in armour.

Shurelya’s Reverie is also getting adjusted with a decrease of 200 health from 350. 5% base movement speed stat it gave beforehand is being switched out for 40 AP and the mana regen is increased from 50% to 100.
Lots of other items are also being adjusted, most getting cost adjustments as well as slight stat changes as well, but nothing too drastic for most of the items on the list.
Three items are going to be nerfed on the upcoming patch. Galeforce is one of them. The item is insane and synergizes perfectly with champions like Kai’Sa and allow her to take over games completely. This was on show during the FPX vs. OMG game in the LPL where LWX took over with his Kai’Sa, working wonders.

Other items set to get nerfed are Hextech Rocketbelt and Imperial Mandate. Once we know the exact details we will update you on what to expect with the changes.

Champions (UPDATED: January 13, 2021)
The updated List of Champion nerfs and buffs is out and this is what we will see change with some of our champions in the upcoming Patch 11.2. Elise and Olaf, who have been tearing up the jungle have also been added to the list.
Let's start off with the aforementioned champions. Olaf is one of the top jungle picks in Patch 11.1 and has been almost unkillable, hence why he will be getting a nerf to the lifesteal on his W as well as the healing amplification.

Elise is also a jungler who needs to be toned down a little. Her Q Spider damage will be reduced from 70 - 230 to 7 - 210. Hopefully, this will reign in the spiderqueen in the upcoming patch.
Another jungler who has just been insane is Nunu who will be getting a nerf to his movement speed as well as his base HP to try and slow him down just a little in the following weeks. He’s been one of the best junglers in the game and is in need of this nerf.

Of course, after we named Maokai the best support champion in Patch 11.1 Riot has to go and make some changes. The mana cost on his E is getting upped and the damage AP ratio is being lowered from 1% per 100 AP to 0.8% per 100 AP. He should still feel like a solid pick even with these slight adjustments.
Other champions that are getting nerfed are Aatrox, Darius, and Akali. Many of these champions have been outliers with extremely high win rates and need some dialing back to give others a chance against them.

There are more champions getting buffed as well. Our favorite doctor, Dr. Mundo, who is also getting reworked which Riot is releasing in the first half of 2021. Until then we have to live with these changes. His Q HP refund is being buffed from 40 to 50% on-hit and on-kill from 80 to 100%. The cost of his E is also being lowered from 25 - 65 to 20 - 60 and the damage of the ability is also being increased. Last, but not least, his ultimate is going to heal Mundo 50 -110% max HP instead of 50 - 100% which is great for the late game.
Other notable buffs are Trundle who will have a Q bonus damage ratio of 15 - 55 total AD once Patch 11.2 hits and the W attack speed will be increased from 20 - 100 to 30 - 110%. Will these changes make Trundle a viable pick again?
Varus, who has gotten a few buffs over the last few patches is once again on the list. This time his mana per level is getting an increase and he will also be seeing a cooldown reduction to his ultimate. Maybe this will get him out of the basement?
Lastly, let’s talk about Senna who will be getting a slight increase to her attack speed. The spawn rate of her non-kill ghouls is also being upped from 22% to 28% and she will gain more gold from them. The healing from her Q is also getting increased. Other champions Riot has on their list for buffs include Shaco, Nocturne, Azir, LeBlanc, Caitlyn, and Soraka. Many of them have barely been played due to their low win rates and lack of strength in-game.
