Today LoL Patch 11.8 has gone live and with it, we are getting quite a few champion changes as well as item updates. Of course, some epic skins are also heading our way as well as the release of a whole new Champion in Gwen.

We’ve already written a detailed guide on all changes coming to LoL Patch 11.8, but to keep things simple, we’ve got a quick rundown of the most important things which came out with the new LoL Patch today.

Champion Highlights in LoL Patch 11.8

Our favorite doctor – Mundo – has gotten a little update since in previous patches, he has been smashing it in the jungle. LoL Patch 11.8 is trying to set him back on the right path and into the top lane, where he is meant to be.

His passive health regen is being upped from 1.5% to 2.5% and his Q capped damage against monsters scales from 100 to 500 instead of 350 to 500. The health cost restore per enemy hit is increased from 50% to 100%.

Rammus is also getting quite a big update in the League of Legends Patch 11.8. He will get a visual update as well as some upgrades to his ulti. He will be rewarded for going fast and furious all over the rift with the update. His Soaring Slam is going to leave quite the impact on enemies and will make him fun and exciting to play in LoL Patch 11.8.

Item Highlights in LoL Patch 11.8

Support mythics are getting changed up a bit since Moonstone Renewer has been the only true item that Enchanters could use. Therefore, changes have been made to incentivize players to pick Moonstone only when they want to heal and shield their allies, while Shureliya’s is going to reward players who prefer aggressive plays. Hopefully, this opens up the support item pool.

Chemtech Putrifier is getting a bit of a change to make it more attractive for supports. To gain the benefits of the item, you’ll have to target allies rather than yourself – sort of like Staff of Flowing Water and Ardent Censer. So now, when you use your abilities on an ally, your abilities and theirs are empowered for a few seconds after. Sounds neat, right?

Which Skins are coming in LoL Patch 11.8?

Six new skins are hitting the rift. Of course, the newest Champion Gwen is getting a skin as well. She will be the final champion going to the space disco with her own Space Groove Skin, while four other champions are also getting new looks.

Vel’Koz and Sion will look especially menacing in their new Blackfrost skins while Kayle, Galio and Twitch are getting Dragonslayer and Dragon Guardian skins. All five look epic and will be available for purchase in the LoL Shop.

Gwen – New LoL Champion Coming in LoL Patch 11.8

As we’ve mentioned before, Gwen is now available to play in LoL Patch 11.8. She is an AP Top Laner with a unique and interesting kit. The key is to build up her auto attacks to get as much damage out of her Q as possible. She is a scaling champion who is ready to pop off in the late game, so give her a try and let us know on Discord what you think of the doll champion!
