Carzzy spent the last year on Team Vitality in what many thought would be a super team like no other. The team failed to make the World Championship though, and so it seems like he's looking to come back to the MAD Lions.
The LEC off-season is heating up with rumors on all corners. G2 Esports, Vitality, Excel, they're all making their moves already and while nothing has been confirmed yet, we could see some insane new teams in the LEC in 2023.
Former MAD Lions bot laner, Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság could be making the return to his former team once more. Even after all the drama in 2021, it seems that it's been forgotten and it's time for the bot laner to come back to the Spanish org.
Reports: Carzzy Returns to the MAD Lions in 2023
At the start of 2022 Carzzy joined Vitality in hopes of making the ultimate LEC team squad. Alphari in the top lane, Perkz in the mid lane and Carzzy, one of the best young talents out of EU, in the bot lane. This was a team meant to win, right? Well, that's exactly what this roster didn't do.
With so many popular and well-known names in one squad it seems that the team couldn't get on one page and failed miserably throughout the year. Well, now the team is making some major changes and Carzzy will be one of the pieces leaving the team.
He is going to return to the MAD Lions though according to Breuc Seeger, a known insider on Twitter going by the name LEC Wooloo. According to reports Carzzy chose to return to the MAD Lions over taking a spot on Fnatic.
Armut To Be Replaced By Young Talent
According to Seeger, MAD is looking for some fresh blood in the top lane. While current top laner İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek is still under contract until 2024, they might make some big changes replacing him with X7 top laner Kim "Chasy" Dong-hyeon.
Chasy had previously played as a substitute top laner for DAMWON, as well as on their Challengers roster throughout the 2020 and 2021 season.
MAD Lions Support in 2023
It seems like MAD has also found their new support player. Former Fnatic support Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov will be replacing Kaiser in the bot lane. This will be his first time playing on a different team in the LEC, having been on Fnatic since 2017.
Jungler Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla is still under contract until 2023 and refused an offer from Fnatic, which is why he will return to the MAD Lions lineup in 2023. MAD Lions is shaping up to be a completely new team come 2023, but will they be able to make it out of the play-in stage of Worlds 2023 if they do qualify?
