Over the weekend Riot has left fans confused, but also excited once more with the announcement of the last champion to be released in 2020. With a tweet showing a burning lance and the words ‘Hurt someone enough, and they just might hurt you back’ written atop, the developers have left fans with a mystery to unbox.

We’ve already speculated that it might be the Ruined King, but he will only be released in 2021 along with the Riot Forge and Airship Syndicate collaboration of ‘Ruined King: A League of Legends Story’. So that’s pretty much out.

This champion is most likely a support champion since Seraphine is a mage mid laner. Riot had said at the beginning of 2020, that they will try to bring 6 new champions out throughout the year, one for each lane, as well as a melee and mage mid laner. So now we’ve got five and which position is left to be filled? Support. So we can guess that this champion will be a support.

What else can we grasp from the breadcrumbs Riot has left us? This champion is known as the ‘runaway criminal’ according to the September 2020 Champion Roadmap, which had also teased Seraphine’s arrival as well as shown a ring of the Ruined King.

In the roadmap, the champion is described as someone who is heavily armored and dangerous… tank support? Probably. Maybe Leona will get some competition on the Rift.

According to the roadmap, the champion is also able to “mount a quick retreat when cornered” which suggests that this champion will be equipped with a dash to make it out of any situation. Also, the champion might have an anti-tank mechanic, since the roadmap also notes that opponents should “wear light armor, as reports show warbands have been killed with their heavy gear twisted and shattered”.

When will we see this champion in-game? There is no official announcement just yet, but judging from the pre-season roadmap we can guess that it’ll be as early as December 11th. So get ready Support mains! You’re getting a new champion!
