After their win against Liiv Sandbox on Friday, T1 faced off against their final competitor during the regular split - DRX . The LCK superteam had already secured their first place, but they stood a chance to be the first team to end the season without a lost Bo3 series and tie the record for best game difference. For DRX, this was a chance to take the third place and the preferential playoff spot.

The first game started promising for both teams. DRX kept up with T1 at first, but pulling their top laner for a bot fight gave them a pyrrhic victory as they got one kill but left Choi "Zeus" Woo-je’s Jayce to get several tower plates . T1 would use their gold lead to dominate the mid-game, getting the better of DRX time and again. After an attempt to find a pick 25 minutes in backfired, DRX were firmly in the back seat. LCK’s best team did not skip a beat and got an ace three minutes later that let them end the game.

It was do or die for DRX in the second game, but a series of early T1 wins sent them reeling. Just in the first 10 minutes, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok’ Veigar was 3/0/3. DRX clawed a few kills and the gold was close, but once more, T1’s mid-game was impeccable. Between their great vision and masterful teamfighting set up by support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok on Nautilus, they beat DRX again and again, denied a Baron steal and dominated the map to secure the 18-0 season.
