TFT patch 10.23 is coming out today and even though it doesn’t contain the biggest meta changes, there are still enough little tweaks to make some comps better and some worse than before.
We decided to take a look at the changes, which are about to go live. Based on this, we try to predict which comps are going to be the be-all and end-all of patch 10.23 and which ones probably won’t impress us.
Certain comps just felt completely overpowered last patch – not because of the synergy and composition, but due to specific champions within it. For example, Talon was just a beast in patch 10.22 and could carry anyone into a top 4 finish. Same with Ashe, though she’s been wreaking havoc for quite some time now.

Both Ashe & Talon were nerfed, which could mean that they fall off and out of the S-tier this time around. Sure, the nerfs weren’t huge, since Riot wants to keep these champions playable – unlike what they did to Ahri on previous patches, where they basically nerfed her out of existence.

Therefore, with the upcoming changes and buffs, we believe that two comps will stand above the rest as the creme-de-la-creme.
Best TFT Comps in Patch 10.23: Dusk
Dusk has always been a pretty good trait hovering around the A and S tier. With the changes coming to both Ashe and Talon, we do think that Dusk is going to settle into the S+ tier once more. This comp will utilize Riven as the main carry and tank. Combine her with another Keeper and she will just get an extra shield to protect her and keep her alive longer, so that she can dish out damage. Vayne has also been a decent 1-Cost since her buff in patch 10.22, so add in another Sharpshooter and you’ll have decent damage from the backline.
If you’re lucky and you can get a Spatula, you can build Mantle of Dusk, which you can slap on top of your added Sharpshooter. Thresh is also a strong frontliner who can tank quite a bit of damage and Cassiopeia can also create a cone of damage around her which is very strong. Overall, Dusk is a very good composition once you’ve got all your pieces together. We believe this is going to be one of the top tier comps this patch.
Best TFT Comps in Patch 10.23: Ninja
Ninja is easy and flexible. With patch 10.23, three of four ninja champions got buffed, which just makes an already good comp even better. Akali has higher attack speed, Zed has more damage and Kennen has become a better frontliner. If you manage to get your hands on Riven, you’ll be able to have a solid wall, with Kennen, Riven and Shen, while Akali and Zed deal damage behind the enemy. Sure, you’ll have to endure until you manage to get together all four of your Ninjas but it’ll be so worth it. While you wait to collect all Ninjas, why not build something like Fortune and rake up those loss streaks for some extra bonus? All jokes aside, Ninja will be incredibly strong in patch 10.23 thanks to the buffs to the individual champions, which is only going to make an already strong comp even better.
Of course, Ashe and Talon are both still good picks in patch 10.23 so playing Enlightened or Brawler/Ashe comps should still get you a decent seeding. We just believe that this patch they’ll be a bit weaker than both the Dusk and the Ninja comps.
