A new patch, a new LoL meta! After Pantheon got a nerf as support, let's have a look at the new meta of the supports in patch 10.21 together. Which support is the best?
Pantheon was a popular shield swinging super supporter in the last patch, but he got a little nerf from Riot. The damage of his Q (Comet Spear) was reduced but the bonus attack damage was slightly increased. But which champ is the best now? In this LoL Tier list, we show you the best champions for each lane. We especially focus on the win rate and carry potential, as you often have to carry your teammates to victory in some games. Today we look at the support position.

5. Soraka (Win Rate: 52.5%)
Soraka has incredible healing abilities and supports her team with several CC skills, which keeps your opponents from raining their bursts down on your team unhindered. It's easy to heal the incoming damage with Soraka - her W (Astral Infusion) provides group heal and the Q (Starcall) heals you and gives the team a boost in movement speed. Since Soraka is not very strong, it is important to learn the correct positioning with her. In team fights, you want to make sure that the DPS is in front of you and the tanks are in front of them so that you can support and heal from the back without taking unnecessary damage.
4. Maokai (Win Rate: 53.0%)
If you like to run around as tanks in the game and soak damage for your team, then Maokai is your tree of choice... The tree giant is a wonderful support because he has a lot of CC-skills and can keep himself alive with his heals. He scales very well into the late game, which makes him really strong for solo queue, surviving the lanes easy and even winning every now and then. Maokai can keep opponents pretty well in check with his CC skills and guarantee your ADC a safe escape. In the early game, you will only have to pay attention to your mana pool. His skills have a rather high cost, which you can compensate for with the right items. His mobility is a bit limited but even this can be improved with Flash and Righteous Glory.
3. Leona (Win Rate: 50.5%)
Leona's popularity changes depending on which other champs are found in the meta. As she struggles to compete with champs such as Lulu, her popularity and win rate fluctuates. In most matchups and team compositions, however, there is no support who can snowball the ADC as well as Leona. Her tankyness and CC skills make her a perfect support champion for your team. You have to be careful with Leona not to get poked too much because she has no self-healing, and you could be pushed back otherwise. Her playstyle is also quite risky because you can just jump into the fight with the E (Zenith Blade) but you won't be able to get out of it easily afterward. Make sure to always go into battle with your ADC or team behind you. You'll also benefit from Zeke's Convergence as it has a perfect synergy with Leona.
2. Janna (Win Rate: 53.2%)
Janna is a great support that can increase the team's damage. The best synergy is between Janna and Ashe, as she can boost Ashe's auto-attacks with her E (Eye of the Storm). Janna's W gives her and her teammates an 8% extra movement speed. In addition, the champ offers CC skills that you can use to annoy your opponents. With items like Redemption, it's no wonder Janna is such a popular support! However, you have to watch out for hook attacks from your opponents, which she can't handle very well since she's squishy.
1. Lulu (Win Rate: 51.5%)
Lulu is once again on our number one spot of the LoL supports! She is one of those champions who has a very adaptable playing style. You can use her for her incredible peeling skills or play aggressively by stopping enemy attacks with your CCs and pushing your ADCs to the next level. This feature makes her an awesome support in team fights! Lulu also offers pretty good damage in the early game, which should make it easy for you to take advantage of it for yourself and the team. In order for her kit to reach its full potential, it's best for her to play with front liners but she can handle just about any ADC. Since Lulu can't handle burst very well, you'll have to pay attention to her positioning and provide CCs and buffs from the backline. To increase her survivability, we recommend the items Bulwark of the Mountain and Ardent Censer.
