What is League of Legends: Wild Rift?

League of Legends: Wild Rift is LoL for mobile devices! Riot Games brings its successful MOBA game to iOS and Android. It's a shortened version of its big brother on the PC in which you try to conquer the battlefield with your champions on the go.

What Do I Have to Do to Play Wild Rift? Do I Have to Register in Advance?

You don't need to register in advance because this is an open beta that is... open. All players have access as long as you live in a region where the beta is available. As long as you are in Europe, you won't have any issues. Download, log in and play!

What Are the Differences Between Wild Rift and Regular League of Legends?

League of Legends players will recognise many things: three lanes, two jungles, one river. So everything as usual? Not quite! Wild Rift had to be adapted to iOS and Android, of course, and that required a few changes. It is smaller, but faster than its PC counterpart. The map has been scaled down, resulting in more action-packed matches on the battlefield. Less wandering, more fights! All this rewards faster and more aggressive gameplay. As a result, rounds only last between 15 and 20 minutes, which is way shorter than your average LoL game.

Which Modes Are Available?

Wild Rift may be League of Legends' little brother, but that doesn't mean he can't have the same toys! The most popular modes Normal and Ranked are also available in the mobile version. The classic version is 5 against 5! Choose a champion, defeat opponents and destroy Nexus! You can prepare yourself before competing against other open beta players within Training mode.

What Champions Are There in Wild Rift?

Bad news first: not all League of Legends champions will be playable in Wild Rift. With over 140 characters that is no surprise anyway. It is therefore possible that your Main will not be there for the time being. The good news is that Riot Games will gradually add more champions to Wild Rift. The hope that your favourite will make it, even if it is missing at the start, is alive. The launch roster will many different champions nonetheless. Ahri, Jhin, Lux, Yasuo, Zed, Gragas, Aurelion Sol and many more await you, so it's not like we're taking off with an empty bus.
