Superior teamfighting carried Misfits Gaming to their first win of the split.

After a lost game to SK Gaming and a dominant win to G2, Origen looked like a volatile team that could be hard to predict. Misfits, on the other hand, had shown many glimmers of potential but had yet to close out a game. This made their Sunday clash that much more important.

Origen started better, a three-man tower dive top securing the first blood for mid laner Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm. However, Misfits would come out ahead 12 minutes in as they countered OG’s pincer move with an engage and secured two kills on top of the second dragon. The teams traded blows, however, and 20 minutes in they were virtually even. A positional advantage allowed Misfits to start the baron 3 minutes later and they secured it at the cost of two deaths and a drake.

The game remained balanced on a knife’s edge until a missed Mystic Shot from Elias "Upset” Lipp and a late teleport by OG top laner Barney "Alphari" Morris proved decisive in a fight that ended with two kills and an inhibitor going to Misfits. The game was still relatively close 29 minutes in when Origen came to contest the Baron, but this time, Kasper "Kobbe" Kobberup’s Kai’sa took over the fight completely. Misfits took two kills and chased Origen to end the game.

Both teams played a good but not flawless game and it showed as they were neck and neck for most of the time. In the end, several small outplays resulted in key teamfight victories for Misfits who get on the board with a much-needed win. Next week, they will face FC Schalke 04 and SK Gaming, while Origen will take on Excel Esports and Fnatic.
